Description

Dolphin Discovery-Playa del Carmen offers one of the best activities in the Riviera Maya; here you have a unique opportunity to swim with dolphins! We recommend choosing the Royal Swim, the most complete program. Your dolphin experience will begin when you are on a submerged platform where the dolphins will swim next to you to touch and pet them. You will also be able to hug our adorable dolphins.

The exciting part of this program begins when you get to do some fun up-close activities with two of the dolphins who are always eager to play with you. First, you will swim some distance away so they can swim towards you and hold on to their dorsal fins in order to pull you through the water. Later, they push you with their foot to lift you above the water.

Important

  • Children over 1.41 m may participate alone in any of our dolphin programs at the adult rate.
  • To participate in the Royal Swim program, children from 1.21 m to 1.40 m must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.
  • To participate in the Royal Swim program, children 1.0 m to 1.20 m must be accompanied by two ticketed adults.
  • Children from 1 to 5 years old (under 1.0 m) will be considered infants and will be able to participate in the program free of charge by performing the basic activities (kissing, greeting, hugging and hand target) and must have their vest adjusted and be accompanied by two ticketed adults.
  • In Puerto Aventuras, groups have a maximum of 15 people and the use of life jackets is mandatory in all water programs. For safety reasons, cameras are not allowed in the water, professional photographs will be available for purchase.

Recommendations

  • For safety reasons, women who are 5 months or more pregnant are not allowed to participate in any of the water activities. 
  • It is important to arrive 30 minutes before your program time, remember that before your dolphin swim you will receive an orientation. Remember to use biodegradable sunscreen, to take care of your skin, the environment and the marine species. It is important to bring towels and cash for cabs, shopping, meals and souvenirs.
